How to report material that infringes copyright, and how to respond if your material was removed.

Last updated: 11 October 2026

Customers can add their own material to Sentinel Connector, such as a company logo shown on their reports. If you believe material on the service infringes your copyright, send us a notice and we will review it and remove or disable the material where the notice is valid.

Where to send a notice

Copyright Agent, designated copyright agent
TrueCMS Pty. Ltd.

What a notice must contain

  1. Your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorised to act for the owner.
  2. The copyrighted work you say has been infringed. For several works, a representative list.
  3. The material you say is infringing and enough information for us to find it, such as the name of the organisation whose report shows it.
  4. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner.

A notice that leaves out any of these may not be acted on.

What we do with a notice

We check that the notice is complete, remove or disable the material promptly, and tell the customer who added it. The customer cannot add the same material again while the notice stands.

If your material was removed

If you believe the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address. It must contain:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. The material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, postal address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the United States, any district where we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice.

We send the counter-notice to the person who complained. Unless they tell us they have filed a court action, we restore the material between 10 and 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.

Repeat infringement

We keep a record of valid notices. Accounts that repeatedly add infringing material lose the ability to add material and may be closed.
